Love her or…just like her…Lady Gaga is an Online Social Media Super Star ! Yes…I said it!

The Mother Monster herself, has become the first person to attract over 20 million followers on Twitter.  Gaga, 25, has held the title of most followed Twitter user since August 2010, when she surpassed Britney Spears, whose 13.5 million followers are still Top 10.

While Spears and most celebrities like Kim Kardashian primarily have their managers handle Twitter duties, Gaga has claimed to personally maintain her account.

As of March 5th, the singer, who signed up on Twitter four years ago, had 20.17 million followers on the popular social networking site – putting her firmly in the number “1″ spot.

Last month, Lady Gaga announced plans to launch her very own social network, named “Little Monsters.”

There is little doubt that Lady Gaga is the definition of an influencer offline and online.  Gaga’s music, fashion sense, and passion for social causes have spread around the world in only a few short years.

Gaga’s Twitter growth rate is larger than Bieber’s, too.  Shakira (14.5 million) and Rihanna (14.4 million) are fourth and fifth, with Spears not far behind.
